Class 4

Holocaust Memorial Day 2022: 'One Day'

Below is the photograph of Iby Knill, survivor of the Holocaust.

I believe passionately in remembering those like Iby Knill, as well as the millions who very tragically perished. Our class story at the moment is all about the Holocaust and the children and I are enjoying it and reflecting profoundly on all those affected by genocides in the past and present.

This year's Holocaust Memorial Day theme is 'One Day': Holocaust Memorial Day is one day, one day in history, one day life changed, one day at a time, one day in the future, one day is a snapshot.

"You didn’t think about yesterday, and tomorrow may not happen, it was only today that you had to cope with and you got through it as best you could." (Iby Knill, survivor of the Holocaust.)

Class 4 Newsletter - January 2022

Class 4's 'WWI War Memorial'. This was our final outcome for Autumn Term 2 and linked with our overall theme of 'Peace and Conflict' as well as our focus on 'War Game' as our core text.

Class 4's Christmas Cards- we hope you liked them!

Year 4 are not 'fans of bullying'!  Here are the children showing some of the ideas they discussed about bullying including how it feels and what they could do.  They made fans showing their ideas.

Beautiful artwork in class 4: the children sketched, designed and made their own Roman inspired vases and coins to contribute to our class museum exhibition. They also painted their creations and the results are stunning, as we're sure you'll agree...

Parents Evening - November 2021

Our Pumpkin Parade

Thank you to all the children and their families for the wonderful pumpkins

that came to school yesterday - so many different designs.

It was so lovely to see so many parents and children after school for our Pumpkin Parade - thank you for supporting our PTFA event.
