Welcome
Welcome
I would like to warmly welcome you to Richardson Endowed Primary School. We are incredibly proud of our school and offer a broad education for our children who enjoy opportunities our school provides. We are extremely lucky to have a dedicated and committed staff and governing body.
Making the choice of school for your child is one of the most difficult decisions you will make as a parent. Here at Richardson, we recognise the unique potential in each child and work alongside you as parents or carers, to ensure that your child becomes a confident and well-rounded young person. We have an excellent team of staff here who always aim to ‘go the extra mile’ for the children at our school. Keeping children safe and happy is always our number one priority.
Successful schools have many things in common; one of which is a good relationship with parents. We look forward to working closely with you to ensure we can achieve our aim of becoming an outstanding school at the heart of the community.
We are proud to be part of Embark Federation, a family of schools across Derbyshire. We work closely with our Embark family to ensure that our school is at the heart of the community and to live our values of Family, Integrity, Teamwork and Success. We also have a core purpose to enable everyone to Love Learning and Love Life.
This website contains a wealth of information about our school. However, a website can only tell you so much. You are warmly welcomed to visit Richardson Endowed Primary School to look around and meet the staff and children.
We look forward to meeting you and to working closely with you during the time your child will spend at our school.

School Vision and Aims
At Richardson Endowed Primary School, we work together as a community to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children are motivated to learn, are valued as individuals and encouraged to reach their full potential.
We aim to deliver:
- high expectations - of achievement, progress and behaviour
- strong teamwork - among children, staff , parents, governors and the whole community
- an enjoyment of learning - through a creative curriculum and effective teaching
- an effective partnership - with parents, our community and children’s services
- a personalised approach to learning - where the needs of every child are provided for
- a learning community - where everyone is valued, included and involved
We set our 'Shared Vision' each year, where the whole school community is represented: all staff, governors and children from our school council. The vision is displayed in our school hall.
