Summer 2 (The World and Beyond)
STEM session with Ben Lee (Network Rail)
On Friday afternoon, Year 4 were fortunate to take part in a STEM (Science,Technology,Engineering,Maths) session on “ Building Bridges”, delivered by Ben Lee from Network Rail.
The children were first given a PowerPoint presentation on the points to consider when building a bridge and were then able to put these in to practise with a hands-on activity. Using communication, listening skills and teamwork, they constructed their own bridges and tested them out.
Class 4 loved their afternoon and thank you again to Ben for sharing his knowledge with us all.
Stop,Look,Listen and Think!
Class 4 received a visit from a member of the Derbyshire Road Safety team to refresh them on the rules to think about when crossing the road. Lots of input and an activity to complete proved really enjoyable session and a good reminder for everyone on keeping safe.
